Training program for refugee education _ sign language course
As part of the free training program "Education for Integration" (Teach4Integration https://www.teach4integration.gr/) we would like to inform you that the University of Thessaly has created a department for deaf and hard of hearing teachers in sign language.
More specifically, the "Education for Integration" Program (Teach4Integration), is a free and credit-based program of 400 hours for teachers. The aim is to improve the skills of teachers involved in refugee education. The program runs from October 2023 to July 2024.
As part of the program, a sign language section has been provided for the deaf and hard of hearing. In the case of the deaf and hard of hearing, sign language teachers are also encouraged to apply.
The Department of Sign Language conducts meetings exclusively online, regardless of the teachers' place of residence, under the responsibility of the University of Thessaly.

The program is implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the Institute of Educational Policy, by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Thessaly and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the framework of "All Children in Education", an initiative of UNICEF in collaboration with the Ministry of Migration and Asylum and co-financed by the European Union.
