Access to the schools of the Municipality of Pydna Kolindros pieria

The Municipality of Pydna, Kolindros, Pieria, signed with a representative of the contractor a contract for the implementation of the project "Construction of ramps and toilets for access and service of disabled people in school units of the municipality of Pydna-Kolindros", with a total amount of € 76,533.41. The main funding of the project is made by the Program "FILODEMOS II" while from its own resources the municipality will pay the amount of 5.233,41 €. The inclusion in the Program took place in October 2020, following a relevant request submitted by the municipality in December 2019. The completion of the project will solve a chronic problem faced by people with disabilities who attend or visit the school units of our municipality.
Free access to all spaces for people with special skills (who have special needs), while it should be self-evident, has not yet been achieved. With the completion of this project, an important step towards this goal will be taken. It is the duty of all of us to make every effort to facilitate the lives of these fellow human beings. Unfortunately, the coronavirus – mainly – has not allowed us so far to organize the activities we would like for these people. But our efforts continue.
