With 120 students, the postgraduate program of the Hellenic Open University begins this year in the "Sports Administration" under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee. For this project, a meeting was held at the offices of the EEE between the President of the EAP, Professor Odysseus Zora and Mr Spyros Kapralou and Mr Manolis Kolympadis, President and Secretary-General of the EEE. The meeting was also attended by the scientific director of the program Professor Nikos Theodorakis, who also mentioned that one of the main objectives of the program is to give its students the knowledge and skills needed to exercise effective administration in the field of Sports Federations and Associations.
On the basis of the above and recognizing the importance of the training of administrators in the development of Greek Sport, it was agreed by the Presidents of the two bodies to give a number of scholarships to athletes and executives of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and the National Sports Federations for their training. Further cooperation between the University and the EEE was also agreed to develop joint educational actions aimed at both the executives of the federations and the associations, but especially the Greek Olympians and Champions who wish to career in the field of sports organization management.
