Gender equality at the heart of the Olympic Movement

The European Olympic Committee’s “Gender Equality in Sport” Commission held its annual meeting in Baku upon invitation by Azerbajani Olympic Committee. Chair of the Commission Diana Gudzineviciute, president of Lithuanian Olympic Committee and member of EOC Executive Committee, welcomed at Boulevard hotel members representing of countries: Azerbaijan, Poland, Finland, Denmark, Great Britain and Latvia.

The commission heard summary of the Prague previous meeting and discussed further actions. Working plan and strategy of gender equality issues in European Olympic Committee’s member countries were also in the agenda. Konul Nurullayeva, made a speech about Gender Equality in Azerbaijan. Members also focused on cooperation with other organizations in the field of Gender Equality.
