Opening for the International Seminar for Postgraduate Students at the International Olympic Academy!

The opening ceremony of the 29th International Seminar for Postgraduate Students was held in Olympia on September 10 in the presence of the Dean of the IOA, Prof. Konstantinos Georgiadis and Professors Reinhard Senff (GER) and Ioannis Xydopoulos (GRE). After a two-day tour of the Archaeological Site and Museum of the Acropolis, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Zappeion Megaron, Epidaurus and Nemea, the team of 12 students, 6 women and 6 men, from 12 countries, arrived at the IOA facilities in Ancient Olympia in order to collaborate with eminent Professors from all over the world, specialized in Olympic issues and current sports issues.

Students will also present their academic papers which will be published in a special edition of the seminar's proceedings. On September 25, the group will depart from Olympia and visit the archaeological site of Delphi upon their return to Athens.
