The Congress of the Slovenian Olympic Committee for the People with Disabilities

The Slovenian Olympic Committee organised the 13th Congress “Sport for All” in Ljubljana, ahead of the International Day of Disabled Persons (IDPD), which will be held on 3 December.

The two-day congress, focuses on the role that sport plays in helping people with disabilities. Physical activity and sport can contribute significantly to improve the life quality of disabled people in both biological, psychological and social aspects. The aim of the meeting is to educate and train sports and medical professionals, sports clubs and associations, to daily deal with the growing number of disabled persons. They will keep up to date with examples of physical and activities and exercises, fitness programmes and projects that could be implemented in the area of disability.
