The Korean Paralympic Committee held a celebration ceremony at the Seoul Olympic Park, commemorating its 10 years anniversary. Over 300 participants took part in the ceremony, which included presentations of the commendation for founders, Awards and the Declaration Ceremony of the new Committee Vision.
For the past 10 years, Korean Paralympic Committee has put continuous effort to promote sports for people with impairments through diverse activities. As a result, participation rate of sports for all has increased from 3.2 per cent in 2006 to 14.1 per cent in 2014. Numbers of staff working in relation to para-sports has also increased from 30 in 2006 to 600, including 17 provincial para-sports associations and 31 affiliated para-sports organisation in 2015.
