The big moment for the most successful Greek team in sports has arrived. Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 20, at 19:00, at the Agora of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the presentation of the Greek Paralympic Team for the "Paris 2024" Games will take place, with free admission for the public.
Since 2000 and the Sydney Games, when the Greek Paralympic movement began to develop, Greek delegations to the Games have always been the most successful, returning with double-digit medals.
Huge athletes have worn the national emblem to represent Greece in the biggest celebration of the Paralympic movement and this year, the French at the 2024 Games are sending the message of inclusion stronger than ever. The Olympic and Paralympic Games have the same weight and importance and the organizers treat them as the same size.
The Greek delegation will depart for Paris on Wednesday (August 20th) morning, but tomorrow there will be the official presentation of the team that has 13 Paralympic medalists and is full of great athletes but also young people with big goals and dreams to return from Paris with a medal.
The official presentation is scheduled to start at 19:00 and will be hosted at the Agora of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, which is next to the effort of the Hellenic Paralympic Committee.
The Greek delegation consists of 37 athletes, a track driver and two ramp operators in Boccia.
