The Hellenic Olympic Committee will financially reward those who reached the 8th place in the Olympic Games

Extraordinary financial support in the form of a scholarship will be received by the athletes of Greece who were ranked from 1st to 8th place at the Olympic Games in Paris.

This was announced during AEGEAN's return flight from Paris by the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Spyros Capralos, after thanking all members of the Greek delegation for their presence at the Olympic Games and announcing the bonus.

"We had 57 athletes among the top eight who will receive a diploma from the International Olympic Committee. It is a great achievement and I congratulate you all. We are waiting for you to honor you and the entire Greek people on September 19 at the Panathenaic Stadium in the great event organized by the Hellenic Olympic Committee", said Mr. Capralos and added: "The Olympic gold medalist will receive 30,000 euros, the silver the amount of 20,000 euros, the bronze medalist will receive 15,000 euros and the athletes ranked from 4th to 8th place from 10,000 euros. Also, those who are members of a group will get half the amount."

Spyros Capralos pledged that this money will be given in September. This is the first time that the Hellenic Olympic Committee has financially rewarded athletes in the top eight of the Olympic Games. Also, all athletes have received 10,000 from the HOC to qualify for the Olympic Games.
