The International Festival "Reflection of disability in art" of the University of Macedonia

The International Festival "Reflection of disability in art" (iRoDi), as an institution of the University of Macedonia and as a unit for the Support of Social Inclusion through Art of the Laboratory of Applications of Educational and Social Inclusion of People with Learning and Adaptation Difficulties (EKOIS), is organized this year for the 5th year from 3 to 10 December 2023 at the University of Macedonia.
The aim of the Festival is to support and promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities through their participation in cultural events in any role they wish, as actors, directors, volunteers or simply as spectators. The main objective of the International Festival "The reflection of disability in art" is to highlight art through the perspective of disability.
Regarding the Competition Section, out of the 976 films of all genres submitted via filmfreeway and email from around the world, 112 films were selected. The films are included in the following themes: Self-determination, Disability and Art, Family relationships, Deaf Community, Life Aspects, Differences, Disability and Sports.
The artistic program of the Festival includes screenings of films, Greek and foreign productions, musical performances, sports events and many other artistic activities.
The Program includes live screenings at the Amphitheater of Ceremonies of the University of Macedonia on 3/12, 4/12, 5/12, 8/12 and 9/12. This year, for the 1st time, the International Festival collaborates with the Filmocracy platform. Thus, viewers will have the opportunity to watch online screenings through filmocracy on 6/12 and 7/12, while there will be screenings on demand through filmocracy during the period 2/12-10/12.
