The Municipality of Athens trains unemployed people in the service of people with disabilities

An extension was given to the deadline for the participation of unemployed in the action "Training of the unemployed in service-conciliation with people with disabilities and chronic diseases", in which the Institute of the National Confederation of People with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases, the National Federation of the Blind and the Panhellenic Association of the Blind will cooperate with the Municipality of Athens and EATA SA, in the framework of the implementation of the act "Social Protection Network of Athens – Open Social Net".

The participants (25 people) will participate in a comprehensive education and training action, lasting a total of 122 training hours in:

  • theoretical and experiential training on issues of service and communication with people with disabilities (People with motor disabilities, People with deafness / hearing loss, People with mental / cognitive / developmental / mental disability and other disabilities / chronic diseases, People with visual impairment)
  • certified Braille literacy training
  • certified training in the use of basic digital office interface tools (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Internet Services/E-mail)

Interested parties should:

  • Be unemployed
  • Reside in the Municipality of Athens
  • Be graduates of at least high school
  • Be aged 18-60

Priority will be given to low-income applicants

The deadline for the submission of applications has been extended until Monday, February 6, 2023 at 17.00.
