The Municipality of Thessaloniki honored the Deaf Olympians of the city

The Deaf Olympians of the city honored the City Council of Thessaloniki.

Apart from the coaches of Thessaloniki and the athletes of the National Deaf Taekwondo, who won medals at the Olympic Games for the Deaf, in the city of Caxias Do Sul, the Greek Federation of Sports for the Deaf was also awarded.

It was with great emotion that the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Konstantinos Zervas, awarded the Olympic gold medalist Pavlos Liotsos and the 14-year-old Olympic bronze medalist Irene Machairidou. Pavlos Liotsos extended warm thanks for the honor he received, as well as Irene Machairidou.

The coaches of the two Olympians, Anna Papaioannou and Antonis Arvanitidis respectively, were honored by the Deputy Mayor of Sports, Youth and Volunteerism Nikos Zeibekis.

The President of the City Council of Thessaloniki, Petros Lekakis, awarded an honorary distinction to Antonis Zaspalis, as a representative of the Hellenic Federation of Sports for the Deaf.
