A Memorandum of Understanding between the International Olympic Academy, the University of the Peloponnese and the Shanghai Sports University – the leading sports university in China – was signed on Monday, March 21, during an online signing ceremony between the three educational institutions.
In his speech, the President of the IOA, Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos, expressed his strong belief that this day will mark the beginning of a fruitful cooperation that will benefit the Olympic movement and promote Olympic education in Greece and Asia. The MoU includes various forms of cooperation between the three parties, having as a core educational programs of all levels and joint activities of cultural and educational interest, such as conferences, seminars and other events that will take place either in the recently renovated IOA premises in Ancient Olympia or shanghai.
The Memorandum was signed by the President of the IOA, Mr. Isidoros Kouvelos, the Rector of the University of Peloponnese, Prof. Athanasios Katsis and the President of the Shanghai Sports University, Prof. Peijie CHEN, who have expressed their great anticipation for the next stages of this cooperation.
