The President of the EUI Spyros Capralos in his capacity as President of the European Olympic Committees met in Brussels with Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission for the Promotion of the European Way of Life.
The meeting took place in a particularly cordial atmosphere and the ways for a broader cooperation between the European Commission and the European Olympic Committees aiming at the development of sport on the continent were developed. Particular emphasis was given to the discussion on the European Sports Model and its further strengthening by the European Commission as it is the key to the organization of sport in Europe based on solid standards and fair development for all sports.
Mr. Capralos presented to the Vice-President of the European Commission the games organized by the European Olympic Committees and invited him to the 2023 European Games to be held in Krakow, Poland.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the EGIS Spyros Capralos handed over to Mr. Margaritis Schinas a commemorative plaque.
