Greek Olympians in students of schools in Piraeus

A unique experience was lived by students of schools in Piraeus at the Municipal Themistocleio Stadium, yesterday, where they had the opportunity to play sports having as coaches Olympic champions, who taught the children the first "secrets" from a series of sports hosted in the Olympic Games, such as weightlifting, handball, rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, fencing, Laser Run, rowing, etc.

In the Municipal Themistocleio Stadium were found many Olympic champions of various sports, such as George Tzelilis from weightlifting, Neri Niagara from swimming, Giorgos Chalkidis from handball, Maria Tsouri and Anna Charalambidou from water polo, Christina Kaltsa from rhythmic gymnastics, Alexandros Jakupovic and Christina Zachariadou from tennis, Sotiris Anyfantis from fencing, Panos Angelopoulos from Laser Run, Dimitris Boukouvalas from rowing and others.

The students were divided into groups and participated in 14 stations/actions in Olympic sports.

This important athletic action was organized by the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Piraeus (O.P.A.N.) in collaboration with the National Olympic Academy, in the framework of the Sea Days 2021.
