In an atmosphere of celebration, the Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, welcomed at the Serafio Center of Sports and Culture the athletes and members of the Greek mission of the Summer Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, awarding them for their impressive participation in this year's 16th edition.
"Welcome to your home, in Athens, the city that gave birth to the modern Olympic movement. You have offered us a great deal, generously and generously", stressed Mr. Bakoyannis in his speech, expressing his gratitude on behalf of the municipal authority, but also of all Athenians for the enormous effort made by Greek athletes in the Paralympic Games, winning a total of 11 medals.
