Complaint by the Federation of the Deaf about illegal fundraisers

As the competent body, the OMKE is obliged to inform that we receive complaints about unscrupulous people begging in the streets, claiming that they are "deaf and dumb" or that they belong to Associations of "deaf and dumb" and carry out a fundraiser using deafness, possibly falsely and shamelessly, using deafness.

The OM.K.E. stresses that no Association of its Association carries out or participates in fundraisers and denounces these malignant practices of exploitation and defamation of deaf and hard of hearing citizens. It invites anyone who encounters these to call the Immediate Action (tel. 100) for the crime of fraud and to inform the OMCE.
