The members of the Greek delegation that participated in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo and won 11 medals were welcomed at the Maximos Mansion by Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The Prime Minister congratulated and thanked the Paralympians, the escorts and all the other members of the team, asked them to recount their experiences from the Games and talked with them about the needs of the Paralympic movement.
"I want to say how proud you made us and how touching were the moments you gave us," Kyriakos Mitsotakis said. "But I want to hear more from you what your experience was like and especially what you want us to do from now on," he added.
Government sources say that during the discussion, the issue of the unhindered professional rehabilitation of athletes with disabilities, the possibility of financial support through sponsorships and the upgrading of the training infrastructure available in our country was raised, among others.
