Memorandum of Understanding of the Association of Greek Olympians-Association of Sports Lifeguards of Greece

The Association of Greek Olympians (SEE) and the Hellenic Association of Sports Lifeguards (EANE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to protect public health from injuries through water safety and sports lifesaving actions. After a year of cooperation, the ATO and the EANE formalized the union of their forces in order to achieve the reduction of drownings in Greece and the reduction of sports lifeguarding as a pedagogical tool of operational readiness for professionals and a means of getting to know the public with prevention and rescue.

The Memorandum of Understanding was co-signed by the SES, President Evi Moraitidou (Silver Olympic Water Polo Champion) and Voula Zygouri (Olympian Wrestling), flanked by board members Nery Mantey Nianguara (Olympian) and Sofia Papadopoulou (Olympic Sailing Olympic Champion). The EANE was represented by the President Dr. Stathis Avramidis (EODY Executive and Teacher of Sports Lifesaving TEFAA Athens) and the Vice-President Eleftheria Avramidou.
