Historic first joint meeting of the Cyprus Olympic and Paralympic Committee!

The historic first meeting between the Cyprus Olympic Committee (CCI) and the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee (KEPE) took place on Wednesday, January 20th, on the subject of the joint action meeting in view of the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo. The teleconference was represented by President Andreas Kamariggos, Secretary General Andreas Roubas and Vice-President Efthimios Polydorou. Similarly, the BEARER was represented by President George Chrysostomou, Vice-President Giotis Ioannidis and Treasurer Alexandros Christoforou. The Member of the Councils of both the CCI and the KEPE, Andreas Theophylaktou, was present.
Among the decisions taken were the creation of joint promotional activities of Olympic and Paralympic sports, which will be screened in Japan on the occasion of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
At the same time, the two sides decided on joint action between the two Commissioners, as well as a joint meeting between all members of the Executive Board of both the Cyprus Olympic Committee and the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee. It is worth noting that the city of Shimotsuke in Japan will host the athletes of Cyprus for preparation two weeks before the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo. It is noted that both JIT and KEPE bodies have jointly signed an agreement with Shimotsuke, which also provides for the promotion of our country beyond the field of sport as well as in the fields of culture, culture and tradition.
