Postponement for the Olympic Day Run in Thessaloniki

The Municipality of Thessaloniki has exceptionally announced the lifting of the licensing of all road and sporting events, which will take place within its territory. The announcement leads the Olympic Day Run GREECE Organizing Committee to a forced decision to postpone the race.

The country's only Olympic Run, organized under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee and bearing the stamp of olympic circles, will take place in the next period of time, once the rate of spread of the virus is normalized and the restrictive measures announced by the Municipality of Thessaloniki are lifted. The new date will be announced shortly, with the aim of informing registered runners as quickly as possible. The Olympic family and registered runners, following the decisions of the institutions, renew their appointment, on a safe date for all, which will mean the restart of the sport in Thessaloniki and throughout our country. With the hope that we will soon return to the race and to life, we stay tuned for the start of the Olympic Day Run.
