The candidacy of Spyros Capralos for the Hellenic Olympic Committee

Hellenic Olympic Committee President Spyros Capralos has announced his candidacy for the HOC Presidency for the 2025-2029 Olympic season.

"I wish Happy New Year to allwith many and important successes for Greek Sports.

2024, it's true, was a unique year. It left us all with feelings of great joy and pride after the excellent performance of our athletes in Paris, and not only!

For me personally, 2024 has also stood Great New Yearas the International Olympic Committee has decided, exceptionally, to extend my mandate until 2030.

Recently the candidacies for the European Olympic Committees have been announced. I will be a candidate for another term – the only candidate – for the post of President.

I have never hidden that sport is in my soul. It is for me dedication and commitment. Passion but also responsibility of life.

In this context, deep and practical trust of the International Olympic Movement, the Excellent results and progress in Greece, but and the enormous power that theLove, encouragement and successes of Greek athletes, push me to a decision.

To claim, once again, the Presidency of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, in the upcoming elections to be held in January professing unity and perspective.

I call on everyone to join the common effort for the good of Greek sports.
