His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece gave his wish for success in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to the Greek team.
The delegation of Team Hellas that visited the Archbishop in his Office, consisted on behalf of the athletes, the wrestling champion Maria Prevolaraki, on behalf of the coaches, the Federal Judo Coach Nikos Eliadis as well as the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Spyros Capralos, the Head of Mission in Paris Petros Synadinos, the Deputy Chief Iakovos Filippousis and the EEC President Vangelis Liolios.
Mr. Ieronymos, wishing good luck, said: "I would like to thank you all, each one individually, because for me your visit is a great honor. I would like to wish you a good race, good luck, good results, but above all that your goal is not only for your country but also for yourself, because he also wants his reward or the remark that did not go well to be corrected. So thank you for visiting and I wish you good strength, good luck and know that wherever you go, your reward, not only in terms of the result but also in the struggle you make to achieve what you seek, is not only your sport but also ours. And we think of you and pray and wish you strong to go and give your fight, and to be proud of you and rejoice in you! Good luck."
HOC President Spyros Capralos thanked the Archbishop for giving his blessing to the Greek team for the third time before the Olympic Games. "The previous two times your wishes and love brought very successful results to the Greek Team. So we asked and we really wanted to be here with you to feel again your warmth and wishes for this mission to succeed again", said Mr. Capralos and then introduced the representatives of Team Hellas to the Archbishop.
