In the women's BC3, Anna Denta (ramp operator Christina Deda) reached the second step of the podium, with only one defeat, in the final. She was defeated on the last ball of France's Sonia Ekel, 4-3, after a stunning match, which was finally decided in the details.
Grigoris Polychronidis showed once again his experience in medal-winning competitions. The Greek Paralympian prevailed 3-2 against Brazil's Mateusz Carvalho and climbed to another podium.
In her opponent's last ball, Golden Morfi Metzou lost the bronze medal in the women's BC4. She reached the semifinals undefeated. In her match to qualify for the final, she was defeated by Hungarian Alexandra Sabo 4-2 and in today's bronze medal match, after a thrilling game, she was defeated by Thai Nuachan Fonzila 3-2.
In the men's BC1, Panagiotis Soulanis ranked 6th in his category.
