New HOC grants to six Federations and athletes who qualify for the Olympic Games

The Greek Olympic Committee continues to provide grants to Sports Federations and athletes, to cover exclusively the costs of Olympic preparation for Olympic Games "Paris 2024".

At the last plenary session it was unanimously decided to approve the proposal of the Olympic Preparation Committee through its President Yiannis Karras, to give the following amounts:

In S.E.G.A.S. 2600 euros for the athlete Stamatia Skarveli

In Hellenic Cycling Federation €26,000

In Hellenic Wrestling Federation €22,000

In Shooting Federation of Greece €50,000

In Hellenic Weightlifting Federation €8,000

In Hellenic Canoe Kayak Federation EUR 1,500

And to an athlete of breaking EUR 2,500

Also on the recommendation of the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Spyros Capralos, whichever athlete secures the qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will receive as a scholarship from the HOC EUR 5,000. With a new decision before the Olympic Games, the athletes who have qualified will receive another €5,000 thus reaching the 10.000. In case of team sports qualification, athletes will get the 50% of the amount.

The decision was taken to support the athletes who will take part in the Olympics, continuing the corresponding decision taken by the HOC before the Tokyo Olympics, when providing a scholarship €10,000 To all the athletes who traveled to the Japanese city.
