Four athletes (2 women and 2 men) of the National Wheelchair Fencing Team are departing today for Washington, D.C., where they will take part in the World Cup, which will be held in the U.S. capital, from January 14 to 17. This is a very important racing test, as this race "counts" for Paris.
The mission consists of: Georgia Kaltsi (Sword and Sword Duel B class), Vasilis Dounis (Sword and Sword Duel A class) and Panagiotis Triantafyllou (Sword and Sword Duel B class). Kelly Loufaki (Class Duel Sword and Sword) will also travel to the U.S. and will travel to the U.S. at her own expense.
The athletes are accompanied by the Federal coach Dimitris Kazaglis and the mission includes the judge Iliani Panagiari. The mission returns on January 18.
