The Gender Equality Committee of the Hellenic Olympic Committee awarded the athletes who were parents in the year of the Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020" in a very beautiful ceremony in a family atmosphere.

The winners were Byron Kokkalanis (sailing), Alexis Danatsidis (judo), Voula Papachristou (athletics), Lefteris Petrounias (gymnastics), Emilia Tsoulfa (sailing), Kostas Filippidis (athletics), Giannis Fountoulis (water polo), Evangelia Psarra (archery), who received the prizes and allowances, along with his families.

The purpose of the very beautiful event by the Gender Equality Committee is for everyone to realize that a sports career does not end with the creation of a family, which brings changes in everyday life but does not create insurmountable obstacles in the effort for championship.

Annamarie Phelps, Vice-President of the British Olympic Committee and President of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the European Olympic Committees, was invited to the event, while the Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, was also present.
