The Cyprus Olympic Committee participates again this year in the Movember Cyprus charity campaign

Following last year's support and participation, the Cyprus Olympic Committee participates again this year in the Movember Cyprus charity campaign, through which for ten years the month of November has been dedicated to the fight against male cancer and for the mental health of men.

Sport could not be far from this important effort to raise awareness and inform the public and to raise money for Movember Cyprus, since emphasis is placed on physical activity, as a way to support the campaign, through the motto MOve!

One of the founders and Member of the Organizing Committee of Movember Cyprus, Mr. Leontios Tselepos, noted that this year too much emphasis is placed on the pillar of mental health and in collaboration with the Cyprus Olympic Committee they will host a workshop on mental health in sports on Wednesday, November 23, at 18:00 at the Olympic Palace.

"Prevention is the best cure when it comes to male cancer, also known as 'silent killer'. Also, there is an increasing number of athletes who speak openly about mental health issues that have passed or are going through, trying to break the social taboo", said Mr. Tselepos, during the meeting he had with the President of the JIT, Mr. Georgios Chrysostomou, while thanking for the contribution of the JIT to the success of the campaign.

Events with "mustache recruitment" are organized nationwide with the mobile barber, also known as MAN VAN, "plowing" Cyprus and generally being embraced by companies and other bodies. The attraction will be the charity basketball match that will take place on Sunday 20/11 at 12:00 in Paphos, between Louis Patsalides' team, Louis Night Show Team against the Movember Team team.
