The European Youth Olympic Festival was completed with 4 Greek medals

The curtain fell on the European Youth Olympic Festival 2022 (EYOF) on Saturday night with the Closing Ceremony in the city of Banska Bistrica, Slovakia.

The flag bearer for the Greek team was Evina Panayiotou who won the gold medal in the pole vault.

Greece participated with 48 boys and girls and finished the games with 4 medals, while another 19 children were ranked in the positions from 4 to 8. The medals went to:

Gold Giannis Gartsios in the triple jump with 15.19

Evina Panayiotou gold in the pole vault with 3.95

Silver Pavlos Kriaras in the pole vault with 4.90

Bronze by Antonia Rakopoulou in the 800m. swimming freestyle with 8:58.07

The end of the games in which boys and girls aged 14-18 participated, was declared by the HOC President Spyros Capralos in his capacity as President of the Olympic Committees, handing over the NOC flag to the representative of the next European Youth Olympic Festival "Maribor 2023".
