The European record of Sultana (Tania) Keramida in the F57 javelin, the double national record of Anthi Liagkou in a sphere and discus of the F33 category and the national record of Konstantinos Veltsis in the length, marked the premiere of the Panhellenic Athletics Championships hosted at the Kaftanzoglio Stadium of Thessaloniki. At the beginning of the top domestic athletics event for 2022, which is co-organized by the National Sports Federation of People with Disabilities, the Region of Central Macedonia and the Municipality of Thessaloniki, a total of eight records were set.
Keramida improved her own European record in the javelin, despite the difficult weather conditions that greatly affected the performance of the premiere. Liagou set a double national record. The athlete of Pyrrhus, in the F33 sphere had a performance of 5.90m., while in the discus of the same category, her best shot was measured 14.62m. In the length T64, Veltsis (Alexander the Great) landed at 6.91m. setting a new record, while on the album, Fotios Dimeris (ASAX) and Ioannis Dimitrakopoulos (En Soti Kygeiou), improved the national performance in the categories F42 and F43 respectively, with 41.93m. and 13.58m.
The premiere ended with two youngsters' records. In the F34 U20 javelin, Vasiliki Kossyva (Tyrtaios) had a performance of 9.49m., while Aristides Tsiatsis in the 100m. T11 U17, scored a time of 20.75.
