World and European records at the Paralympic track and field day in Crete

The world record of Yannis Sevdikalis on the F62 disc, the European record of Thanasis Konstantinidis in the F32 sphere, as well as the European record of Thanasis Gavelas in the 200m. T11, marked the international athletics day that took place at the Pancretan Stadium of Heraklion.

Sevdikalis' best shot in the discus throw was measured at 29 meters 38 cm (previous of his own 27.36m from 2020 in Tunisia), while that of Konstantinidis at 11 meters 36 cm (preceded by Tsourkin with 11.31m from the Tokyo Paralympic Games).

Gavelas, guided by Sotiris Garaganis, broke the European record in the 200m. T11 with performance 22.79. The previous performance belonged to the Frenchman Timote with 22.82
