The Annual Honorary Awards Event of the Hellenic Olympic Committee returns

After the forced shutdown due to the pandemic, the Annual Honorary Awards Event of the Hellenic Olympic Committee returns on Thursday, March 5 at 19.00 at the HOC Amphitheater.
The event will honor the athletes along with their coaches, who won medals at the Tokyo Olympics, as well as at the World and European Championships held in 2021.
Apart from the athletes and their coaches, Alexis Kostalas will be honored with the "Dimitris Vikelas Award" for his long-term contribution to the Olympic movement and his continuous voluntary participation in the Olympic Flame events and Georgios David for the initiative of institutionalizing the Olympic Preparation scholarships of the Leventis Foundation for athletes of Greece and Cyprus.
An honorary distinction will be awarded to people of the Press and Communication who, through their work and actions, promote sports and Olympism, as well as Dimitris Diathesopoulos, Giorgos Vassilakopoulos and Yiannis Sgouros, for their long-term contribution to Greek sports and the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
Finally, the Choreographer Artemis Ignatiou, the High Priestess Xanthi Georgiou, the composer Yannis Psimadas and the whole team of priestesses and kouros for their participation and their exceptional presence in the Ceremonies of Touch and Delivery of the Olympic Flame, the Ambassador of Japan to Greece Mr. NAKAYAMA Yasunori and the Marathon runner Stelios Prassas will be honored.
