Protocol of Cooperation between the Olympic Committees of Cyprus and Lebanon

The Cyprus Olympic Committee (JIT) and the Lebanese equivalent signed a four-year Memorandum of Cooperation at a ceremony held on Tuesday, March 29 at the Olympic Palace. The protocol was signed on behalf of the JIT by the Secretary General Andreas Georgiou and on behalf of the Lebanese Olympic Committee by Vice-President Jacques Tamer.
The protocol covers exchanges of visits of sports missions, and specialists in sports and Olympic education, encouragement of athletes to participate in sporting events to be held in the two countries, exchange of information on issues of common interest, bilateral invitations to conferences, lectures and seminars in both countries, and coordination of actions in the field of the Olympic Movement.
Referring to the signing of the protocol, the General Secretary of the JIT Andreas Georgiou addressed mr. Tamer noted: "It is with great pleasure that I sign this protocol of agreement of the JIT in the sports sector that will contribute even more to the strengthening of relations between the two peoples and will promote even more the Olympic Spirit and Principles"
