The President of the Lithuanian Olympic Committee gives away its Olympic medal in favor of the Ukrainians!

EOC Vice-President and IOC member Daina Gudzineviciute donated her Olympic gold medal from the Sydney 2000 Olympics to StrongTogether, a non-governmental organisation that helps the Ukrainians affected by the war.

"Sport and Olympism symbolize peace and global unity. What Ukraine and its people are going through at the moment is beyond understanding and very painful," said Gudzinevičiūtė, who is also president of the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (LNOC).
