With the co-organization of the Region, the National Athletic Federation of People with Disabilities organizes the Panhellenic Wheelchair Tennis Championship. The championship, which will be hosted at the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy, in Hersonissos, Heraklion, Crete, will start on November 19th and will end with the finals on the 21st of the month.
"In high-level facilities, it will become one of the most impressive national championships located in the racing kalantari of EOM-People with Disabilities. A big thank you both to Lyttos Beach Hotel and to the Region of Crete, which for the umpteenth time responded positively to the request of our federation, for co-organization of the championship", said the president Mrs. Ioanna Karyofylli.
According to the organizers, one of the favorites for the title is undoubtedly Stefanos Diamantis, who represented Greek wheelchair tennis at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. It already counts seven consecutive titles, with Giorgos Lazaridis being one of the main co-victors. Also participating are the athletes Raphael Patronidis, Konstantinos Dialekopoulos, Stefanos Babis, Epaminondas Stamatis, Asteris Giannoudis, Aristomenis Nikolopoulos, Christoforos Panagiotis and Nikos Gasteratos.
The "small" final will take place on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 10:00, while the first serve of the final will take place at 12:00.
