The general rehearsal of the Olympic Flame lighting ceremony has been completed

On the morning of Sunday, October 17, the rehearsal for the Flame Lighting Ceremony for the Winter Olympic Games "Beijing 2022" took place in Ancient Olympia.

The rehearsal took place normally but without the traditional costumes to protect them in case of rainfall.

The Olympic Flame will be lit on Monday, October 18 at 11.30, in the presence of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

High Priestess will be Xanthi Georgiou and Choreographer Artemis Ignatiou. First torch relay will be the skier Giannis Antoniou and second the Chinese Li Jiajun, holder of five Olympic Medals at the Winter Olympics of 1998, 2002 and 2006. The Torch Relay will end with Vassilis Papavassiliou.
