International photography competition on Art and Sports

The Giulio Onesti Foundation (a non-profit organization for the promotion of culture and values of sport, whose members are the International Olympic Committee and the Italian National Olympic Committee) together with the Italian National Olympic Academy announces the holding of the 5th edition of Run for art, the international photo competition for young photographers that combines Art and Sports.

Participation is free and open to all young photographers, amateurs and professionals, between 18 and 35 years old and of any nationality. Photos can be taken with any type of camera or device. The deadline for the submission of entries is 30 September 2021.

The theme of the 2021 Run for art is: The five new Olympic sports. The contemporary challenge to ability and disability (the five new Olympic sports. The modern challenge for skill and special ability). The 5th edition will focus on the evolving concept of sport for the younger generations, as well as the introduction of new sports trends at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (baseball and softball, karate, skateboard, sports climbing, surfing). In addition, it will explore the convergences between the five new Olympic Sports and their Paralympic editions. The 40 finalist photographs, selected by an international jury of excellence, will be exhibited in museums and internationally renowned locations and, starting with this publication, will be part of the online exhibition.
