This year's activities of the renewed International Olympic Academy!

The International Olympic Academy (IOC), among its other activities, will organize the following events:

A) 61st International Meeting of the IA for New Participants. The 61st International Meeting of the IA for Young Participants will take place at the IA's facilities in Ancient Olympia between 11/9 – 21/9/2021 and will have as its main theme "Olympic Movement and Pandemic" and special theme "The Olympic Games and the Pandemic: Opportunities, Challenges and Changes".

B} 28th International Seminar for Postgraduate Students in Olympic Studies. The 28th International Seminar for Postgraduate Students in Olympic Studies will be held at the IA's facilities in Ancient Olympia between 22/09 – 6/10/2021. The main theme of the Seminar is "Olympic Games and Olympic Movement: past, present and future. Analysis from a historical, philosophical and social point of view with a special theme "The Olympic Movement and the Pandemic".

C) Postgraduate Program of the University of Peloponnese in collaboration with the International Olympic Academy. The Department of Sports Organization and Management (in Sparta) of the University of Peloponnese, with the support of the International Olympic Academy, organizes for the academic year 2021-2022 a postgraduate program entitled: "Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organization and Management of Olympic Events". The right to submit interest is held by holders of diplomas from Greek or foreign Higher Education Institutions, preferably officials of National Olympic Academies, National Olympic Committees, National Federations or those who are graduates with a degree in Sports Organization and Administration, Physical Education, Journalism, Economics, as well as holders of diplomas in related matters of similar level that of Greece and abroad. The duration of the programme is three (3) semesters. Students are required to attend the two semesters of lectures in Greece while the third semester takes place remotely. The program will take place on the premises of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia and on the premises of the University of Peloponnese in Sparta. Tuition costs are €3,000 while accommodation and half-board costs are covered by the International Olympic Committee
