Talent award from the Cyprus Olympic Committee

In the presence of Mr. Prodromos Prodromos (EPAN) and IOC Member and President of the EOC Spyros Kapralos, the Cyprus Olympic Committee and OPAP Cyprus honor the Olympic Team and award the new talents

The Cyprus Olympic Committee and OPAP Cyprus are organizing on Thursday, June 24th, the event "For the beautiful and the real", in order to honor the Olympic team and the talents of Cypriot sport. The event will be attended by the Minister of Culture Education of Sport and Youth (EPAN) Prodromos Prodromos, the member of the International Olympic Committee and President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Spyros Kapralos and the Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Andreas Zagles. The event will also be attended by, among others, the Greek Ambassador to Nicosia Theoharis Lalakos, the Honorary President of the LAGO Kiki Lazaridis and the Mayor of Strovolos Andreas Papacharalambous.

Present at the event will be athletes members of the Cyprus Olympic Team who will travel to Tokyo to participate in the 32nd Olympic Games starting on July 23rd. The event will take place in the outdoor areas of the Olympic Palace, will start at 20.00, and will be broadcast live on RIK 2.

As part of the event, the "Glafkos Clerides" Awards will be awarded to the best athletes for 2020, while the prizes will be awarded to the top of the best Teen-Young Women 2020. The prizes will be awarded to the top teenager and youth, individual and team sports, as well as the prize "Antonis Papadopoulos" to the top teenage athlete of Athletics, the prize "Marianna Zachariadis" to the top young athlete of Athletics, and the prize "Pefkios Georgiadis" to the top teenager/youth – athlete who combined the athletic performance with those in training. The awards are awarded in memory of the former President of the 4th Uranium M. Ioannidis.
