International Successes for Greek Paralympic Weightlifting

The conquest of another medal at a World Cup in 2021 was celebrated by Dimitris Bakochristos. After the first in Tbilisi, today, in Dubai, he took 3rd place in the category of -54 kg, maintaining the 3rd place in the world ranking, which is known to give the "tickets" for the Tokyo Paralympic Games. The Rio Paralympic bronze medallist had three two valid attempts at 141, 150 and 160 kg respectively.

Paschalis Kouloumoglou, who took 6th place, competed in the -59 kg category of the same event. The Greek champion, who before the start of the event was also in 6th place in the World Rankings (p.p. the top eight qualification for Tokyo) with 179kg, had two valid attempts at 161 and 170 kg but also a failure at 172kg.
