North Korea will not take part in the Tokyo Olympics!

North Korea's sports ministry has announced that the country will not take part in the Olympics to be held later this year in Tokyo to protect the health of its athletes, amid the pandemic of the new coronavirus.

That decision was taken by North Korea's Olympic Committee and Sports Minister Kim Il-guk after a meeting held on March 25th, according to a sports ministry website. "The committee has decided not to participate in the 32nd Olympic Games to protect athletes from the global health crisis caused by the new coronavirus," according to the announcement.
