In the most ideal way, the curtain fell on the Tunisian Grand Prix for greek athletics. Giannis Sevdikas set a new world record in F62 discus, while Greece completed its presence in the event with a total score of 14 medals (3 gold, 5 silver, 6 bronze) and 15th place in the relevant table.
Sevdili's best shot was measured 27 metres 36cm, while his previous world record was 27.22m. from last July's Panhellenic Championship at OAKA.
Two gold medals in the javelin and the F54 class sphere were won by Manolis Stefanoudakis. Miss Paralympionikis, in sharpening, exceeded 29 meters (29.17m), while his best shot at shooting was measured 8.22m.
Stelios Malakopoulos (T64) in the mixed race (T42/44/62/64) of the 100 meters had a performance of 12.56 and won 2nd place, while the bronze medals of the third and last day were taken by Anthi Liagou in the F33 javelin with 10.78m. and Zoe Mantoudis in the F20 ball with 12.35m. In the same event (mixed category F12/13/20/44/46) Valasia Kyrgiovanaki was ranked 4th with 12.23m.
Ioannis Loukas Protonotarios was also ranked 6th in the 200m. T36 with a performance of 28.95.
