Ideal start for Greek Para-Olympics at Para-Athletics Championships

Two gold medals and one silver, as well as a national record, were the record of Greek athletics at the premiere of the 12th Fazza Para-Athletics Championships grand prix held in Dubai.

Athanasios Gavelas, with the guide of Sotirios Garaganis, took first place in the 100m. category T11, with a performance of 11.05 which is also a new national record. The previous record was held by him with 11.13 from the 2020 OPAP National Championship held at OAKA.

The first place in the length of category T37 was taken by Konstantinos Kamaras with a better jump at 5 meters 75 cm, while Miss Paralympionikis, Manolis Stefanoudakis, who traveled to Dubai at his personal expense, took second place in the F53/54 sharpening with a better shot at 28 meters 80 cm.
