Ukrainian Olympic Committee celebrates 30 years of its foundation

The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine celebrates its 30th anniversary. On 22 December 1990, the General Assembly of the NOC Founders made the historic decision to establish the NOC of Ukraine. Since the country’s independence, the Ukrainian athletes under the NOC’s patronage have won 122 medals at the Olympic Games, 97 medals at the Youth Olympic Games and 98 medals at the European Games.

In addition to effectively supporting elite sports, the NOC has been working hard to promote Olympic values and healthy lifestyles and, by implementing creative programmes, has been recognized as one of the best Olympic Committees in the world.
