Tokyo 2020 is pleased to announce that the resolution entitled “Building a peaceful and better world through sport and the Olympic spirit” in relation to the Tokyo 2020 Games was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
The resolution calls for United Nations (UN) member states to respect the Olympic Truce in accordance with the Tokyo 2020 vision. It reiterates that the Olympic Games are an opportunity to show that sport has the power to change the world and our future.
