Six months before the Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony for the Winter Olympic Games "Milan-Cortina 2026" on November 26, 2025, the Hellenic Olympic Committee announces the Olympic Torch Relay on Greek soil that will last until December 4.
Its route on Greek soil will last 9 days, covering 2,200 kilometers, crossing 23 prefectures and 7 regions of the country, while 36 welcome ceremonies will take place as part of it.
The Olympic Flame will pass through important destinations in mainland Greece, highlighting not only our cultural heritage but also the country's connection with winter sports and mountain destinations. The route is designed to reach areas where the 12 largest ski resorts in Greece are located, showcasing the country's natural wealth and potential in the field of winter tourism.
The Olympic Flame will be carried by about 450 torchbearers, while it will be accompanied by a procession of 15 cars offered for this purpose by the sponsoring company TOYOTA, as well as by about 40 executives of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, ensuring the smooth conduct of this important mission.
