55 Years for the Union of the Deaf of Northern Greece

The anniversary conference for the 55 years since the establishment of the Union of the Deaf of Northern Greece (E.K.V.E.) was successfully held on Friday, December 6, 2024.

The event included important presentations by distinguished speakers who highlighted:
The historical development and social significance of the Deaf movement.
The formulation of policies to defend the rights of the Deaf community.
The contribution to the empowerment and unity of the Deaf in Greece.
The concept of "Deafhood" and the strengthening of the cultural identity of our community.

The President of the Federation of the Deaf of Greece, Mr. Simpsis Konstantinos, also participated in the event, who spoke about the role and contribution of the OMKE. the formulation of legal regulations and policies to improve the quality of life of deaf and hard of hearing people as well as the actions required to defend their rights.
