The Hellenic Olympic Committee nominated for the IOC Climate Action Awards in Paris 2024

Supported by global Olympic and Paralympic partner Deloitte, the IOC Climate Action Awards recognise and reward innovative projects by National Olympic Committees, International Federations and athletes that aim to reduce the environmental footprint of sport while inspiring the wider Olympic Movement to take action.

The Hellenic Olympic Committee is one of the finalists for this year in the National Olympic Committees category for the implementation of a clear carbon reduction strategy, including actions such as replacing the lighting system in building infrastructure, training staff in sustainable procurement practices and adopting a comprehensive waste management plan and green practices. resulting in a 24% reduction in emissions in 2025 compared to the 2022 footprint
