The Men's National Water Polo team doubled its victories at the Olympic tournament in Paris, but lost a point.
Although they were behind almost throughout the match against Montenegro, the Greek team prevailed 17-16 on penalties and is in second place in Group A with five points, behind the "absolute" Italy.
The regular season ended in a 12-12 draw, with the Montenegrins equalizing two seconds before the end.
Previously, the Montenegrins maintained a two-goal difference, with Kalogeropoulos equalizing at 4'08' before the end.
Vidovic gave Montenegro the lead again but Skoumbakis equalized again and Vlachopoulos made it 12-11 for Greece, 29 seconds before the end.
The Montenegrin bench took a timeout, the referees charged Skoumbakis with a dismissal and Radovic, two seconds before the end, made it 12-12 sending the match to penalties.
In the first execution, Đurđić "marked" the crossbar, to be followed only by targeted efforts, with the last one being that of Argyropoulos, who gave the victory.

Disqualification for Sakkari
