8-16 April 2024: A unique Torch Exhibition, from 1936 until today, at the Town Hall of Ancient Olympia

A unique experience will be lived by those who visit the Town Hall of Ancient Olympia on the days of 8-16 April, as the Municipality will host the "Exhibition of Olympic Torches and Votive Offerings from Modern Olympic History", with torches of all Olympic Games from the year 1936 – the inaugural of the Olympic Torch Relay, until today, as well as other Olympic objects from the personal collection of Mr. Stratos Klimos.

The exhibition, which takes place in a specially designed room on the ground floor of the Town Hall of Ancient Olympia, as part of the events for the 2800th anniversary of the first Olympic Games and for the Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame, will include:

• 26 Summer Olympic Torches
• 7 Winter Olympic Torches
• 7 Paralympic Torches
• 1 priestess dress from the Olympic Flame Lighting ceremony.
• 1 altar of the Olympic Flame during the Olympic Torch Relay Athens 2004.
• 1 Lighting Vessel of the Olympic Flame for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
• 9 safety lamps for transporting the Olympic Flame from various Torch Relays, including the one used during the Athens 2004 Olympic Torch Relay.
• Olympic medals from the Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
